Yoked Ministries exists to make room for people to encounter Jesus, discover their God-given identity, experience healing and discipleship in authentic community, and become restored people who carry His hope into their families, churches, communities, and the world.
Our story
Yoked was born from a burden to see people encounter Jesus without having to fit a mold, survive a performance, or pretend they have it all together. It is a Christ-centered ministry, not a personality, congregation, denomination, or building.
The name comes from the invitation Jesus gave in Matthew 11 — to come when we are weary, take His yoke, learn from Him, and find rest for our souls.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
What makes Yoked different
- Jesus is the destination, not a program or platform.
- We honor the local church and partner with others rather than compete.
- People are sacred, not statistics. We treat every person as a person.
- Welcome is unconditional. Agreement is not required for care.
- We hold biblical conviction without contempt.
Core Values
Jesus Is Enough
Programs, buildings, personalities, brands, and ministries are vehicles. Jesus is the destination.
Scripture Governs
We do not reshape biblical conviction to fit culture, popularity, partnership, profit, or personal preference.
No Self-Assignment
Capacity is not calling. Opportunity is not assignment. Money is not permission. Growth is not automatically obedience. Hear. Test. Confirm. Move.
Stewards, Not Owners
We do not own Yoked. We steward what God entrusts to us. Assignment does not equal authorship.
Build the Church, Not Your Market Share
We do not fight over people. We fight for people.
People Are Sacred, Not Statistics
The person matters more than the proof, metric, conversion story, testimonial, or program enrollment.
Healed Scars Can Minister
Open wounds need care. We do not bleed on the people we are called to help.
Respond at the Speed of Clarity
Rapid obedience is not impulsivity. Sometimes God says move. Sometimes God says prepare. Sometimes God says wait.
Grace Does Not Eliminate Wisdom
Compassion is not enabling. Welcome is not boundarylessness. Forgiveness does not require returning to danger.
Help That Restores Dignity
Meet the need without manufacturing dependence. Remove the barrier without removing agency. Help them stand. Don't make them need us to stand.
Build for Multiplication
Simple enough to teach. Clear enough to reproduce. Flexible enough to adapt. Strong enough to protect the DNA. Standardize the backbone. Localize the expression.
Honor the Wells
We acknowledge the pastors, churches, ministries, movements, teachers, and mentors who helped form us. We do not pretend Yoked invented biblical discipleship.
